EPFL and JHU Unveil NEvo, AI That Generates Videos Targeting Specific Brain Regions

A research team from EPFL (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne) and Johns Hopkins University has unveiled NEvo, a framework that uses AI to generate videos optimized to selectively and strongly activate specific regions of the human visual cortex. The paper was posted to arXiv around July 2, 2026, and a dedicated project page lets users interactively browse the videos generated for each brain region.
