An open-source Web Studio built on DeepSeek-OCR has been released, letting users run OCR, table extraction and diagram analysis on PDFs and images in the browser and convert them to Markdown. Tom Dörr, known for his coverage of developer tools, highlighted DeepSeek-OCR-Web, a project combining a React frontend with a FastAPI backend that is drawing attention. The tool works out of the box: after uploading a PDF or image, it provides OCR text recognition, layout analysis, extraction of tables and charts, semantic recognition of domain-specific diagrams such as CAD drawings and flowcharts, reverse parsing of visualization charts, and conversion to Markdown.
