Google DeepMind has unveiled a new "bioresilience program" aimed at helping governments and researchers prevent, detect and respond to biological threats, deepening the lab's dual-track effort to both guard against AI-enabled biorisks and deploy AI as a defensive tool. The initiative, launched in partnership with Alphabet-owned drug-discovery company Isomorphic Labs, seeks to improve pathogen surveillance, accelerate the design of vaccines and treatments, and strengthen outbreak response.
