Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has launched a public experiment challenging anyone to use AI text analysis to identify a document he published anonymously, and as of early July 2026, roughly 13 days after his post, no successful identification has been reported. The test aims to probe recent claims that AI stylometry could render online anonymity untenable, with Buterin deliberately sacrificing part of his own anonymity to see whether it holds up.
