AI-focused telephony service AgentPhone has released "agentphone-mcp," a server implementation that lets AI agents buy and manage phone numbers, send and receive SMS, and place voice calls through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Distributed on GitHub, it exposes 28 tools to MCP clients.
