Maket Adds Upload Feature for Existing Floor Plans

Maket, a generative-AI tool for residential design, has officially launched a feature that lets users upload existing floor plans and have AI automatically recognize them, turning them into an editable layout within minutes. Released on June 10–11, 2026, the AI Floorplan Recognizer is described by the company as one of the most-requested features it has ever received. Users can bring in a sketch, a real-estate listing PDF, or an old design file, and the AI traces walls, doors, windows, and furniture, rebuilding the result as a layout that can be edited on Maket's live canvas. It also supports a 3D view.
