On July 7, 2026, Meta rolled out Muse Image, an in-house image-generation model developed by Meta Superintelligence Labs (MSL), making it immediately available in the Meta AI app, Instagram Stories, and WhatsApp in select countries. Codenamed "Mango" internally, it is the first image-generation model built by MSL. Expansion to Facebook and Messenger, as well as integration into the Advantage+ ad tools, is also planned. availability
