Valar's Advanced Reactor Powers Nvidia Blackwell in US First

Valar Atomics Inc., a California-based nuclear startup, on July 1, 2026 ran a demonstration at its site in Utah that used electricity from its advanced reactor "Ward 250" to operate Nvidia Corp.'s "Blackwell" AI chip. The output was tiny—only enough to briefly host a website—but it marks the first time a next-generation reactor has supplied power to an AI chip in the United States.
