Nvidia is tapping its cash-rich balance sheet to help smaller AI cloud providers, known as neoclouds, buy and deploy its expensive AI chips. Through a mix of equity investments, credit guarantees, revenue shares and buyback guarantees on unused GPU capacity, the company is diversifying its income beyond straight chip sales. According to reporting, Nvidia has expanded AI-related equity investments to more than $40 billion in 2026 alone.
