Google DeepMind's lightweight open models, Gemma, have joined AMD and Fireworks AI to launch "AMD Developer Hackathon: ACT II," an online competition focused on building AI agents. Running July 6–11, 2026, over five days, the event offers a $6,000 special prize pool for projects that make the best use of Gemma.
