A new desktop application called SynapsCAD blends an OpenSCAD-compatible code editor, a real-time 3D viewport and a natural-language AI assistant into a single tool, aiming to modernize how engineers and makers create parametric 3D models. Built by developer Bernhard Römer and released as open source under the GPL v3 license, the project has begun circulating widely among the hardware and design communities as an early attempt to bring "vibe coding" workflows to computer-aided design.
