In its World Economic Outlook (WEO) update released on July 8, the IMF forecast global growth of 3.0% for 2026, leaving its projection broadly unchanged from April. It said the supply shock from Middle East conflict was partly offset by an artificial intelligence (AI)-driven boom in technology demand.
