A research team at The University of Hong Kong has released AI-Researcher, an autonomous research system that automates the process from literature review and hypothesis generation to algorithm implementation, validation and manuscript writing, with its underlying paper accepted as a Spotlight at NeurIPS 2025. The system's code is available as open source on GitHub.
