On July 2, 2026, Microsoft announced a new organization, "Microsoft Frontier Company," to help enterprises deploy AI on the ground. It brings together more than 6,000 engineers, industry specialists and AI experts, backed by a $2.5 billion commitment, to design, build and operate AI systems inside customer organizations.
