Meta Platforms is planning to build a cloud business that would sell surplus computing capacity from its AI data centers, along with model access, to outside customers, Bloomberg reported on July 1. If realized, it would open a new line of business competing directly with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud.
