On June 25, Amazon announced an additional $13 billion in planned India investments, bringing its total for 2026-2030 to $48 billion, with the new tranche directed mainly at AWS AI and cloud infrastructure. The added investment will expand data center capacity in the Mumbai and Hyderabad regions and support custom AI chips, managed AI services, secure cloud technology and developer tools for startups, enterprises and government agencies (about Amazon, Reuters).
