Canada's telecom giant BCE (Bell Canada) said on June 18, 2026 that it has partnered with AI startup Cohere, Hypertec Group and BUZZ HPC to supply data center capacity and compute at its Merritt, British Columbia site so that Cohere can run its AI models within Canada. The aim is to keep "sovereign AI" entirely domestic, as reported by Bloomberg.
