X Developers on June 30, 2026 released two X-hosted Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers, enabling MCP-compatible AI tools and agents such as Grok, Cursor, Claude and VS Code to connect directly to the X API. The key point is that developers can now reach real-time X data from an agent without building or operating their own MCP server.
