Moonshot AI has released Kimi K3, a 2.8-trillion-parameter Mixture-of-Experts model with native vision and a one-million-token context window, positioning it as the first open model at the three-trillion-parameter scale. The Beijing-based company introduced the model around July 16, 2026, calling it its most capable system to date and confirming that full model weights will follow on July 27.
