Hundreds March on OpenAI, Anthropic and Google DeepMind Offices in San Francisco, Demanding a Pause on Frontier AI

Several hundred protesters marched through downtown San Francisco on Saturday, July 11, 2026, converging on the offices of OpenAI, Anthropic and Google DeepMind to demand a conditional halt to frontier AI development. The demonstration, organized by a group called Stop The AI Race, gathered participants outside OpenAI's headquarters at 1455 3rd Street in Mission Bay around midday before moving on to Anthropic's office at 500 Howard Street and Google DeepMind's location at 345 Spear Street.
