Obsidian Mind, an open-source vault template released under an MIT license, aims to solve one of the most persistent frustrations of AI coding agents: their inability to remember anything between sessions. By repurposing a local Obsidian vault as an external brain, the project lets tools such as Claude Code, Codex CLI, and Gemini CLI retain context, notes, and project history that would otherwise evaporate at the end of each conversation.
