Anthropic is pursuing early-stage development of its own AI chip with Samsung Electronics as a manufacturing partner, The Information reported on July 2, 2026. The plan is at a very early stage, with the processor's role, performance and how it would be integrated within servers still under discussion. Samsung's 2nm process and advanced packaging technologies are seen as possible options. According to the report, the two companies are in talks over manufacturing.
