KAIST's HOUND Robot Dog Learns to Switch Gaits and Climb Stairs Without Human Control

Researchers at KAIST have unveiled a four-legged robot that adapts to rough terrain on its own—trotting, bounding over obstacles and climbing stairs without a human at the controls—thanks to a new AI training method that teaches a single system to switch between walking styles in real time.
