Ex-Fed Chair Bernanke Joins Anthropic's Independent Trust

Anthropic said on July 9, 2026, that it had appointed former Federal Reserve Chair Ben Bernanke as a new member of its Long-Term Benefit Trust (LTBT), the independent body that oversees the company's governance. Bernanke, known for steering the U.S. through the 2008 financial crisis and a 2022 Nobel laureate in economics, is also a Distinguished Fellow at the Brookings Institution.
