Justin McLeod, the founder of dating app Hinge, has raised $18 million in seed funding for a new venture called Overtone, an AI-driven matchmaking service that abandons the swiping, profiles and endless feeds that defined a decade of mobile dating. The round, disclosed on July 14, 2026, was backed by FirstMark Capital, Pace Capital and Match Group, Hinge's parent company, according to TechCrunch and Overtone's own press materials.
