The International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers (CISAC) on June 4, 2026, adopted "The Paris Commitment," a declaration calling for the protection of human creativity in the age of generative AI, at its centenary General Assembly in Paris. More than 450 creators, policymakers and cultural-industry figures from around the world voiced support, including ABBA co-founder and CISAC President Björn Ulvaeus and Vice President Youssou N'Dour. The text urges governments, tech companies and the cultural sector to ensure transparency, licensing and fair remuneration (CISAC).
