OpenAI Adds Chat and Project Pinning to ChatGPT on the Web

OpenAI began rolling out a new feature on June 15, 2026, that lets users pin chats and projects in the web version of ChatGPT to organize them. Hovering over an item in the sidebar reveals a pin icon, and users can choose to keep their list of recent chats (Recents) in a single combined list or grouped by project.
