Claude Code Adds /fork to Run Context-Inheriting Subagents in Parallel

Anthropic's coding tool Claude Code has gained a /fork command that spins up a subagent inheriting your entire ongoing conversation and runs it in the background. Without pausing the main task, it handles "side quests" such as writing tests or trying an alternate approach in parallel, then returns an update to the parent conversation when done.
