Obscura, a headless browser engine written in Rust, has been released on GitHub. Built specifically for web scraping and automation by AI agents, it claims to hold memory use to about 30MB during standard operation and to load pages in 85ms. Licensed under Apache-2.0, the self-hosted version is offered as fully open source.
