US Chip Fabs Face Shortfall of Up to 157,000 Workers by 2030

A widening shortage of high-skilled workers in the US threatens to delay construction of billions of dollars in new semiconductor plants and constrain future chip production, according to a recent analysis by industry and research bodies. A shortfall of 127,000 to 157,000 workers is projected in the US semiconductor and microelectronics sector by 2030.
