DoorDash has released a limited beta of a command-line tool, dd-cli, that lets coding agents such as Anthropic's Claude Code place food orders directly, marking one of the more concrete steps yet toward AI agents that transact on a user's behalf. The tool was unveiled on July 15, 2026 by DoorDash co-founder and chief technology officer Andy Fang, and is available through an early-access waitlist for macOS developers in the United States and Canada.
