A developer has demonstrated Anthropic's Claude controlling a desktop robot end-to-end, using an open-source bridge called ROS MCP Server that lets the model read the robot's state, plan a movement and issue commands without any custom robot code. In a recently shared demonstration, the model observed live sensor and topic data, reasoned about a natural-language task, and executed motion on hardware in real time—an illustration of how large language models are increasingly being wired directly into robotics stacks.
