OpenAI's chief economist, Aaron "Ronnie" Chatterji, said on June 30 at the ECB's annual forum in Sintra, Portugal, that the rise of AI will not make human workers unnecessary. According to Bloomberg, Chatterji stated that "just because a task is exposed to AI doesn't mean it's gonna substitute for that," emphasizing the need to think much harder about what jobs are and how they will evolve.
