On June 12, 2026, OpenAI announced that its developer documentation site, developers.openai.com, now includes an AI agent called the "docs agent" that answers natural-language questions and routes users directly to the relevant documentation. A demo video shared by its official account shows the agent parsing a user query, identifying the most relevant official material, and presenting a link to it. The feature is available immediately as of the announcement, and individual documentation pages now carry an "Ask AI. Docs agent" label.
