Google to Store Search Images and Audio for AI Training, With Opt-Out Setting

Google is expanding the scope of user history it stores in Google Search, adding uploaded media such as images, audio, and video to text input and using it to train AI models. A newly created "Search Services History" setting adds a "Save media" option, rolling out globally over several months starting in late June 2026.
