Australian AI infrastructure firm Firmus Technologies said it will build a 360-megawatt AI data center on Indonesia's Batam island, off Singapore, as part of a partnership with Nvidia. The eight-year tie-up could see Firmus secure as much as $30 billion in committed offtake agreements over the first six years. The project will be developed jointly with Singapore-based DayOne as an "Nvidia DSX AI Factory" campus. The facility is under construction, with operations slated to begin in the first quarter of 2027, and is capable of supplying up to 170,000 Nvidia AI accelerator chips (Bloomberg).
