On July 7, 2026, Meta introduced Muse Image, the first image-generation model built by Meta Superintelligence Labs (MSL), and began rolling it out the same day. It is available in the Meta AI app and on the web, in Instagram Stories, and in WhatsApp direct messages, launching in a limited set of countries with a phased expansion planned. Basic features are free, while advanced capabilities are expected to require a subscription. According to the announcement, the model uses advanced reasoning to understand prompts and turns ideas into high-quality visuals that can be shared directly to chat, story, or feed.
