On June 23, 2026, Anthropic released a beta of Claude Tag, a feature that lets teams hand tasks to Claude simply by tagging @Claude inside a Slack channel. Claude joins the channel as a team member, works within the access it is granted to channels, tools, data and codebases, runs tasks asynchronously, and reports results back in the Slack thread. The beta targets Claude Enterprise and team plans and runs on the latest model, Opus 4.8.
